Ingredients:

  • 2 lb. pork tenderloin
  • 1 tsp. ground sage
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Directions:

  1. Pour 1/2 c. water into the bottom of a slow cooker. Place the pork tenderloin into water.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the sage, salt, pepper, and garlic together. Spread this mixture onto the top of the tenderloin.
  3. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  4. Preheat oven broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  5. Combine all the remaining ingredients into small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk together and stir until the mixture thickens after about 4 minutes.
  6. Carefully remove the tenderloin from the crock pot and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the glaze onto the tenderloin, about 3-4 good layers.
  7. Broil for about 4 minutes or until the glaze starts to form a crust. Watch closely!
  8. Remove from the oven and shred with two forks. Serve with remaining glaze sauce.

Yields 6 servings.
